The Global Centre for Social Justice and Advocacy Leadership is committed to embedding social justice at the centre of community, policy, and institutional responses to today’s most pressing challenges. TGC undertakes applied research to develop relevant, practice-informed pathways for system-shifting change, and supports solutions-focused activism that influences decision-making at both local and national levels. Whether addressing the climate crisis, forced migration, intergenerational inequality, or cultural displacement, TGC digs deep into the drivers of injustice at structural, institutional, and community levels. It nurtures advocacy leadership, fosters meaningful dialogue, and builds strategic relationships across the intersections of faith, corporate, government, and community sectors. TGC’s embedded relationships across Indigenous and Pacific communities, and its agenda-free approach, position it as a trusted partner in bridging the divide between grassroots movements and institutional power.
Drawing from the Edmund Rice charism, the Laudato Si’ tradition, deep listening practices (Talanoa, Dadirri), and human rights frameworks, TGC is creating a unique offering that blends spiritual depth with policy engagement, grassroots accompaniment, and leadership formation. In each of these areas we engage in: Research into the causes of poverty and injustice and what needs to be done to deliver justice Tools of the Trade: development of resources to build justice and advocacy, and to raise awareness of the needs of those made excluded Advocacy Leadership: in partnership with diverse organisations, Indigenous Peoples, refugees and people seeking asylum, Pacific Islanders (especially in Kiribati and Tuvalu) and other relevant organisations to work collaboratively to build the next generation of advocacy leaders.
